Michael van Gerwen successfully defended his Masters title in Milton Keynes at the weekend, while fellow ZWA ambassador Vincent van der Voort produced a stunning display to knock-out reigning World Champion Gary Anderson.

van Gerwen stormed to victories against Michael Smith and Stephen Bunting for the loss of just four legs before edging a thrilling semi-final against Phil Taylor 11-10.

And the world number one went on to clinch glory with a comfortable victory against Dave Chisnall in the final.

van der Voort’s tournament debut saw him defeat back-to-back World Champion Anderson 10-7 with a brilliant performance but his hopes of further progression were ended by Chisnall in the quarter-finals.

van Gerwen is next in action on the opening night of the Premier League in Leeds on Thursday, while MvG, van der Voort and all of ZWA’s star darts players will be heading to Wigan for the first three UK open qualifiers of year, starting on Friday.
