Paul Nicholson continued his progression as an analyst and commentator with a starring role in the BBC’s coverage of last weekend’s Champions League of Darts.

Nicholson’s priority continues to be his professional career as a darts player but his profile and personality have seen him emerge as a top addition to the production of events he is not playing in.

The former Players Champion has become a regular commentator on the PDC European Tour in the last couple of seasons, following previous appearances on several channels, including BT Sport, ITV, Channel 4, ESPN, FOX Sports (Australia) and Sky Sports (New Zealand).

Following an impressive stint in last year’s inaugural Champions League broadcast, Nicholson returned to provide expert analysis and insight in the BBC studio and commentary box with his typical eloquent and charismatic style as Mensur Suljovic took the £100,000 title in Cardiff.

Nicholson will next be behind the mic in this weekend’s European Tour event in Riesa, which is streamed worldwide via PDC.TV.
