Dawson Murschell – the latest addition to ZWA’s client base – caused sensation at the US Darts Masters by knocking out PDC world number six James Wade to reach the quarter-finals.
The 21-year-old talent, who currently plies his trade on the PDC’s Development and Challenge Tours, signed with ZWA a few weeks before qualifying for the World Series of Darts event.
The Canadian prospect has impressed with his performances in 2017, particularly on the Development Tour where he has reached a final.
Before competing on the PDC circuit, he won several titles in his homeland.
Will Lazar of ZWA said: “Dawson is an exciting prospect and a pleasant young man. We are delighted to welcome him to ZWA and hope we can eliminate the pressures involved with starting to pursue a career in professional Darts.
“As with all our clients, Dawson will be able to concentrate purely on playing Darts and we are sure that will enable his career to flourish. It is a long-term agreement as we believe in his ability and will give him the room and guidance to grow and fulfil his undoubted potential, which he showed a glimpse of in Las Vegas.”
Murschell also reached the semi-finals of the North American Championship after qualifying for the US Darts Masters, where he defeated Wade before losing out to Gerwyn Price.
