In addition to last year’s announcements of long-term renewals from Paul Nicholson and Rowby-John Rodriguez, world number one van Gerwen and fellow Dutch top 16 star Vincent van der Voort have both committed their futures to ZWA and vice-versa.
Spanish pair Cristo Reyes and Antonio Alcinas have both also agreed long term renewals.
Meanwhile, exciting youth prospect Berry van Peer is welcomed to the ZWA stable, while Dutchman Yordi Meeuwisse will also be represented by ZWA in 2016. more
Michael van Gerwen successfully defended his Masters title in Milton Keynes at the weekend, while fellow ZWA ambassador Vincent van der Voort produced a stunning display to knock-out reigning World Champion Gary Anderson.
Michael van Gerwen picked up three honours at the PDC Awards Dinner on Thursday night at The Dorchester in London.
van Gerwen, who incredibly won 18 tournaments in 2015, collected awards for PDPA Players’ Player of the Year, ProTour Player of the Year and shared the prestigious PDC Player of the Year title with world number two Gary Anderson, who won the World Championship and Premier League in 2015. more

World number one van Gerwen has been on a remarkable run of form, which has seen him win four of the five tournaments played since losing his World Championship crown to Gary Anderson, while van der Voort has enjoyed an impressive spell – reaching at least the quarter-finals in his last six events. more
Vincent van der Voort produced a string of fine performances to take victory at the Austrian Darts Open in Salzburg, defeating Jamie Caven with a brilliant comeback in Sunday’s final.
van der Voort, whose glory charge began in Thursday’s qualifying event, fought back from being 5-2 behind in the decider to win 6-5 and claim the £20,000 winner’s cheque and his first PDC ranking title since 2011. more

van Gerwen defeated Michael Smith 6-0 in Sunday’s final to clinch the £10,000 first prize and his second title since becoming World Champion and world number one on New Year’s Day. more
